Automation vs Post-functions

Hi!

I'm about to redesign my team's workflows.

Should I build post-functions using the Automation app or keep them in the workflows using the JMWE app?

With today's outages, all of the post-functions in our existing workflows (built into the workflows using JMWE) stopped working for a bit (shown in the photo below). Alongside the push for the Automation app, I want to know if the JMWE app will be discontinued at some point in the near future? This could inform how I configure my team's new setup since I want to make sure it has longevity.

Hi @Hayley Rodgers

this Jira Cloud outage actually impacted all apps, including Atlassian's own Automation, which is technically an app even though it appears integrated into Jira.

And I can assure you that JMWE is here to stay, and we have absolutely no intention to discontinue it.

Finally, I recommend you check Jira Automation's limitations, especially if you are not on Jira Cloud Premium or Enterprise.
