Block the parent issue

Hello,

I post here a doubt that I can't solve externally.

Is it possible to generate with automation a rule that a parent issue can not change state if all subtasks are not already in that state?

From the flow I know that there is a condition to block the parent task but it is not possible this way for the case.

Thanks

Hi @Jaime Basco ,

for my knowledge you can't do that through an automation (an automation can execute something at a specific issue event) but you need to use a condition in the parent workflow.

HI,
I will discard then the option to do it by automation.

Thanks for the answer.

@Jaime Basco You'll want to add the 'Sub-Task Blocking Condition' to the parent workflow on the transition that you wish to restrict, and within this you select the status(es) which all subtasks need to be in in order to transition that parent.

Hope this helps!
