Block transition if issues in "Epic" are not done [JMWE and Scriptrunner available]

Hi community,

We have an Issue Type acting like an Epic (it's a regular issue type set to Hierarchy Level 1) and we'd need to validate if all the Issues in this "Epic" are closed before allowing the parent to move. The issues are linked via the "Parent Link".

We have both JMWE and Scriptrunner available. We tried with the pre-existing validators and conditions like "Linked Issues", "Linked Issues Status", we tried with the standard "Sub-task blocking" condition and with more complex solution but it's not giving us the expected result.

My guess is that our scenario does not fit into the Issue/SubTask nor Epic/Story Issue Link Type of the existing validators/conditions. Any idea how we can achieve this, perhaps using a jira expression?

Thanks!

Hi @Giulia Caberlotto

unfortunately, Jira Cloud currently doesn't support validating through the "Parent Link" relationship.
