Button to open local network share location where project's related document is stored

Does anyone aware of a way to create a button (or a link) on the left navigation pane of each Jira project in Jira to open the location of the project's related documentation?

For example:
There are Excel, Word, PowerPoint files that are related to the project.
These files are stored on a local network share (or SMB). For instance the link is \\192.168.0.1\BattleCruiser

There's no sane way to do this.  Even if you could inject things arbitrarily into the Cloud UI, your local network link could (and almost certainly will) vary by client, so it's going to fail for most people.

If you need links to a document store, I'd recommend getting, well, a document store, not a primitive share.
