Can I configure the fields on a subtask to be different than the parent task?

I want the fields on certain types of subtasks to require different information than the parent task. Is this possible?

Hi Bobbi Jo,

Yes, you can create a different Field Configuration for each issue type. Then all of the Field Configurations are grouped together in a Field Configuration Scheme and the scheme is attached to the project.

Each Field Configuration can have different required fields. 

Likewise, you can have different screens attache to each Issue Type using the Issue Type Screen Scheme.
