Can not drag story or task within Sprint in Backlog

Hi All -

For the duration of my project, I have been dragging the 'done' tasks in the sprint (backlog view) to the 'top' of the sprint so we can visually see, in a condensed list, how many stories/tasks we have yet to work on in the Sprint and rollover for more info etc. without using JQL.  Today I find that I can no longer drag within a Sprint, or drag to another Sprint or into the Backlog.  I have to use the context menu item 'move up' several times to move it within a Sprint and the context menu to move to another Sprint. Has something changed recently?  btw, it isn't priority related as I can't drag within the same priority block.

Any suggestions as to how I can get back to my happy days of dragging tickets?

Hello @Erin Liva

So far I am not able to recreate your issue.

Is any other user have the same problem?

If you are using Chrome as your browser have you tried a Chrome Incognito window? Perhaps there is a cache problem in your browser and clearing it might solve the problem.

Hi Trudy,

Thank you for the quick response. I was playing around with it and figured out what I need to do.

For others with same issue:

If you try dragging the Jira task in Backlog via the Key, you will not be successful.

If you try dragging the Jira task in Backlog via the Issue Type or Summary you will be successful.

I don't usually "grab" the card by any piece of data. I put my mouse in the empty space of the card and grab it there.

With the new options to edit some fields directly in the card clicking on a piece of data may activate the editing option. Or clicking on a piece of data like the issue key may activate the "open this link" option.

So it is more reliable to grab the card from the empty space.
