One of the challenges my fast-growing company frequently experiences is delayed releases. Does Jira have a way to track when deviations are made to release dates, and view how much they've changed over time?
This would be a powerful capability that would enable better communications to leadership around projects impacted by missed deadlines.
Hi @Amanda Milko there are different ways you could do this. A couple of them can be as follows:
Once you add a release to your plan, Advanced Roadmaps adds an icon to the top of your timeline. A green icon means that a release is on schedule while red icons indicate that a release is off-track. Releases that contain issues scheduled by sprint dates will show as off-track if the sprint ends after the release date. If you have multiple releases happening at once, Advanced Roadmaps adds a number above the icon.
The version report might also be useful to you.
Note: these reports are only available for a Scrum board in a Company-Managed project.
The Version Report shows your team's progress towards the completion of a version. The Version Report also shows you the predicted Release Date, based on your team's average rate of progress (velocity) since the start of the version, and the estimated amount of work remaining.

Hi @Amanda Milko - You can use automation to help with this. There's a trigger for Version Updated that you can use so that any time a version is updated, you can communicate the update accordingly.
