Can't log into Jira

Not a good start at all. Just signed up for Jira (the free version) and the login page stays loading forever after entering the site name.

I got an email to verify the account, followed that and entered site name. tried chrome and edge so far. Cleared the cache already. There's a gray box at the bottom of the page that shows "working on it" & "loading" messages.
