Change Operator in Roadmap Filter "Labels" from "OR" to "AND"?

Stefan Jandewerth March 10, 2022

Greetings,

I am part of a company that is currently evaluating whether Jira Software fits our requirements to implement in our project work. I've worked with the free plan to get a first impression, while upgrading to premium is considered should we commit.

My question is about the Roadmap filters. We have multiple labels per issue that could look like

Issue 1: A, B, D

Issue 2: B, C, D

Issue 3: A, C, E

If I select B, C, D in the filter it uses the operator "OR" and shows me issues 1, 2 & 3 since every issue possesses at least one of those labels. However I would like to only get issue 2 shown which would work with the "AND" operator.

I know this works over the general board-filter with manual JQL filters but is there an option to change the operator in the multiple select drop down to make it more user friendly? My example is only a fraction of the actual volume of labels.

Also since I am testing on the free plan I am using the basic Roadmap, does the Advanced option offer possible customization or an already implemented solution to my problem?

I hope I wasn't oblivious to the right setting and missed it on my research for an easy fix.

Kind regards
