×Recenty Jira has implemented the copy issue feature https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/copy-an-issue-layout-to-other-projects/
This functionality is great, however, the design hasn't been made to fit my particular use case. I would like to be able to go to a new project spun up using the same issue screen scheme and copy the issue layout from the project template I used. Right now I have to navigate to the template project and copy over the layout from that project. That adds a few steps in between.
My question is if Jira intends on implementing a feature where you can copy an issue layout as part of the template selection process on project creation.
Hi Brendan
To see requested functionalities or propose a new one, you can enter here
For example, this new functionality was worked on the ticket
https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-71630?jql=text%20~%20%22Copy%20issue%20layout%22
You can ask in that ticket if they plan to add that other functionality
