I want to take a total number of high severity issues my team receives, and compare that to how many of those issue’s root cause fields are attributed to something my team manages over the last 30 days. I have the queries, just not sure how to plug into a widget to get what I want
I haven’t seen a straight forward way to compare 2 things outside of built in widgets. Is there anyway to use the existing free widgets to achieve what I’m looking for?

You can try SLA Time and Report developed by my SaaSJet team. This add-on allows tracking SLAs, set different conditions, and generate the SLA report.
Also, you can use built-in Jira`s gadget for Dashboard and get a view of your SLAs there.
