Default component

Hi everyone , 

Is there a way to make 1-3 components as default for a project, so there is no necessity to add them each time . For example I have a project with 5 components, while 2 of them are always used ,the others not, want these 2 to automalitacly appear on component field.

Hi @Sona Evanesyan 

You could do this using Automation.

To create this on a project-level, you'll need to be a Project Admin and then...

1. Go to Project Settings > Automation
2. Press the blue "Create Rule" in the top-right
3. For the Trigger, use "Issue Created"
4. Add an Action, use "Edit Issue" - choose to set the Components field, then select which Components to set
5. Give the rule a name and publish it

^ This will work for all issues created on the project.

You could refine this rule if needed - for example, if this was just for Stories, you could add a Condition (such as Issue Fields Condition) between the Trigger and Action to check if Issue Type equals Story.

There is not a way to do this OOTB. Consider an addon. I have seen Project Creator mentioned previously (no personal experience) but it is for Server/DC only. There might be others.

Thanks, know about Project creator, but as you mentioned it is not for cloud , Will check other addons availabe in marketplace .
