Display Epic colours on Board

Is it possible to display the Epic colour on a Board? In this instance it's a Kanban board.

Are you working with a Team Managed project or a Company Managed project?

Are your Epics displayed as cards on your board?

How are you wanting the color to manifest on the board?

Currently in Company Managed project Kanban boards where the Epic is shown as a card on the board, the Epic color is shown in the card where the Epic Name field is displayed, shown below where "Epic 2" is shown on a yellow background.

In a Team Managed project Epics don't display as cards on the Kanban board. But you can see the color assigned to the Epic where the Epic Summary displays on the child issue cards, shown below where "Team Epic" is shown on a yellow background.

It's a team-managed project. It's much more useful for us to display the board sorted by Epic, not by Assignee, so the Epic names don't appear on the cards at all. Here's how our board looks at the moment. Our ideal would be that the Epic icons, circled, are replaced with a square of the Epic colour.

I am not aware of a way to add color to the heading for a swimlane. I did not find a suggestion for that feature in Atlassians backlog.

I recommend that you contact Atlassian Support to find out if they have that suggestion or if it can be added.

Your request is in the Jira Server/Data Center project. You might want to update the description in it to be clear that you are working with the Jira Cloud product, so that Atlassian can move it to the correct backlog. And also note that you are talking about displaying the color when you have specified Epics as the Swimlane/Group By setting.

If youre using a company-managed type project, you can define card colors based on queries, wich you can search for Epics

The main problem is that the colors are not the same... You will ned to choose some related color.
