Displaying EPIC colours in Jira Search

We have developed a colour coding system for our Epics that helps when linking issues to Epics.  Unfortunately in the Jira Search I cannot find a way of showing the EPIC colours.  I hope I am missing something?

When you refer to Jira search are you talking about the JQL search page? If you have the epic link field, listed under columns, then you should see the epic color displayed. See example below. Unsure if that is what you are looking for here.
