Does JIRA API token expieres?

Does the API token we create in JIRA expires? Or is there a count of times that we can call the JIRA REST API via the specific toke? Also is there a JIRA REST API call to create a API token?

The API token does not expire.  However you can manually revoke a token.

And there is no API endpoint to create a new token.

Thank you for the answer. But is there a way to generate a token within my application, pass it to the JIRA server, save it as my API token, and then call JIRA REST API calls using it?
