Does Jira cloud provides colour coded custom field.

We want to create a issue type in which we want the severity to be defined with colour.

Red - high

Amber - medium

Green - low

Unfortunately single select fields do not support color customization.

Is there any other way to get this done. We want to get this on jira dashboard to represent RAG status.

Is it possible to add RAG custom field ?

I suppose that can be done in jira server.

You can add to your card a color, via your board:

• Go to ellipsis menu
• Board settings
• Card colors
• Choose Queries on the field "Colours based on"
• Create your queries by adding YOUR custom field (in the example below I've chosen the field priority)

And then you'll have colors:

So when I actually create a dashboard and list down the risks, it does not show colour code.

Can anything be done for it.

No, of course it doesn't show any colors. The colors are solely for the cards on your board, and not for the dashboard. You can try to search in the marketplace for an app.
