I am keen to know if we can put in due dates for each of the projects as well in Jira?
Also if there are any reports on projects e.g. projects by project lead, no of team members for each project, Workload on each project?
Hi @Ankit Goyal,
I think you should checkout the Profields app by Deiser. With this app you can create custom fields on a project level like a due date you talk about.
And you also have different views across multiple projects which could fulfill your requirements about the reporting on projects.
Cheers,
Matthias.
I’m unsure what you mean by due dates for “projects”. There are due dates for issues but projects generally do not have dates associated with them.
There are a number of canned reports that can be used for projects to illustrate workload, progress, etc. you can look under the Reports link on the project page or consider creating a dashboard and adding gadgets. There is good documentation available on the support.atlassian.com site that will provide the options to consider.
if I have missed your question please help me better understand your needs.

Thanks @Jack Brickey for your reply.
Well, we do have due dates for projects as well. Lets say a project ABC needs to be completed by 1st dec. How to show this due date.
There are tasks under this project that needs to be done before 1st dec to complete this project. I can create these and add due dates to them.
I dont know how to add due dates for projects.

You will need to find some way to add fields to projects. The project "headers" do not have anywhere to store this data.
Two obvious options are the Profields add-on, and what my lot does - when we create a new project of a certain, we create a "project" type issue that has a load of project related fields on it.

Agree Profields would be a good solution. However, I would not consider an addon just for this one field/need. You could consider a single epic with a due date and fill in the stories. Or you could have a ‘project complete’ issue that signifies the end.
