Easily enter time estimates for sub-tasks in board view

In the project board view, I am looking for a simple way to enter time estimates for subtasks directly in the Story view, without entering the sub-task itself. As easily as we change status or assignee.

It's a behavior we were happy to have in our JIRA server, as it was making our sprint planning sessions faster.

Here is an example of what we have in the Sub-Tasks section when we click on a Story in Board view (backlog):

Sub-Tasks

SubtaskIcon / B3555-7547 / ANIM - Get smooth cape physics / Priority / AssigneeIcon / Status 

Here is what we want:

Welcome to the Atlassian community!

Currently it is not possible to configure which fields will appear for a subtask in the Subtasks area of the parent issue. There is a change request for that to which you can add your vote/comment.
