Epic issues are gone after migration

When I was moving epic issues from next gen project to another one. Jira asked that I should move child issues also, After child issues were moved successfully I realized that epics hadn't moved and there not in the original either. Everything was mapped via bulk move.

Please have a read through https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Software-questions/My-Epics-disappear-after-migrate-from-next-gen-to-classic/qaq-p/1287162  to check to see if you've run into the same issue. The workaround in that post seemed to have worked.
