Export - Create dashboard gadget changed. Most quick gadgets don't have filter options.

Seem Atlassian pushed a new update to the Create dashboard gadget on filter query results.  It seems for example, I can only view the assginee in the pie chart and can't change it.  Is there is known bug or is this the way of the world?  If its the way of the world going forward this is a huge loss for advance user productivity.

From a list view of search results selecting Export -> Create a gadget.  In this example for Pie chart there use to be a way to configure what property to target.  This is no longer possible on this and other quick gadgets which makes for quick visualizations very difficult now.
