Filter access- My organization vs Default group

Hi all,

I'm troubleshooting a 'manage sprint' permission issue in a project that has filter access set to "jira-users" while almost all the other filters are set to "My organization".

Questions:

Why choose "My organization" over a product access default group, or vice versa?

What should be considered when deciding between the two- pros, cons?
