I read the description differences between Jira Software vs. Jira Core. We plan to use (Cloud) Jira Software, as we will be running Sprints. Other teams don't have a need to use sprints, but we wanted to have some consistency in the Atlassian software licensing.
1. What does "Jira Core" have in functionality that "Jira Software" does not have? Is there any downside to simply standardizing on "Jira Software"?
2. Does Jira Core integrate with Confluence?
3. [Bonus Question :-)] Does "Jira Software" have some sort of hierarchy above the Roadmap functionality for Epics? For instance, tasks can be referenced in an epic. Can a series of epics be reference in some sort of (series of say) Program Increments?
Thank you.
1. Jira Software = Jira Core + Agile Boards. So you always have Jira Core.
2. Yes
3. You would probably need an app if you thinking about PIs.
Thanks Ravi for the quick response - I now understand #1 and #2.
For #3, it was just a thought/idea to understand. I believe that I would simply call out each line as their own epic.

If you are on cloud look for Portfolio or BigPicture if you are thinking in that direction.

Got it - yes, it looks like "Portfolio for Jira" may be what we are looking for. Thanks for the suggestions!
