How can I display more than 7 sprints on the velocity chart report?

How can I view a velocity report for an old sprint? (i.e. > 7 sprints ago)

You can't. That is not a configurable feature of Jira.

You may be able to find a third party app that provides Velocity Reports for a configurable number of sprints, on the Atlassian Marketplace.

Just as Trudy pointed out, there are some interesting options for this in the Marketplace. Especially, I suggest you try Dashboard Hub for Jira - Reports & Charts, app that we develop.

With Dashboard Hub, you can:

• Add the Scrum Velocity gadget to your dashboards
• Display up to 50 sprints
• Display old sprints
