How do I change a Story's status according to its sub-tasks?

Adi Lerner

I want to get my tasks and stories on my Agile SCRUM board to change their status according to the status of their sub-tasks. i.e.

  1. If all sub-tasks are Done, I'd like the task's or story's status to change to Done
  2. If 1 sub-task is In Progress, I'd like a To-Do task's or story's status to change to In Progress

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated!

Consider using automation for this. There are a number of posts in the community on this already so you may want to use the search bar at the top. Here is one that isn’t an exact fit but I think you can get the gist of it from this - How-do-I-automatically-trigger-a-status-change-on-a-parent-issue
