We use the "Tempo Team" add on to assign tickets to teams. I would like this field to be required in some projects but there are some projects we don't need it on.
When I'm in the "Field Configuration" settings, I can see where I can make this "required" however I only want it required for some screens and not others. Is there a way to do this?
Here is my suggestion:
- Create a new field configuration based on the current field configuration used for the project and turn the Tempo Team field required
- Create a new field configuration scheme and add the recently created field configuration as default. Here I am assuming all issue types of your projects will have the Tempo Team field on the create/edit screen, and it needs to be required. Be mindful that Jira is extremely flexible and it can have a different field configuration associated with an issue type within a field configuration scheme.
- Associate your new field configuration scheme to the projects you need the Tempo Team to be required
