How do I use Authorization tokens in Postman?

geoffrey r_ August 11, 2020 edited

I'm very stuck on figuring out how to use the newer ways of authorizing REST API access to my Jira Cloud. I'm used to Basic Auth, but it has been removed since I last used it, now I need to figure out the API token stuff. Concise documentation has been hard to find on this. Also anything to do with OAuth is way over my head. I'm trying to learn.

I created an API token for the service I want to have access, but before I start writing code, I'm testing endpoints with Postman, and I have no idea how to use the API token here. Postman gives me an authorization option called "API Key". Is that the same thing?
