How to access the filters created by a person who has left the company

Someone left the company yesterday.  Today, all of their Filters are not visible / gone.

I need to access them to create copies and modify them for group use.

When someone leaves, their ACCESS should be terminated, but their WORK and artifacts should remain.  Right?

Hi @dennis.werner You need to go to Administration -> System -> Shared filters, search for the user's filter and change the ownership of the filter.

You can follow the same steps for the shared dashboards too.

Note:  You need to be a Jira admin to make these change

Then I guess that JIRA needs to add a magic button that says "Find an Admin" because how would anyone know?

@dennis.werner Wouldn't that be awesome.  :) I believe this is the only way to make these changes. :(

Generally, an admin will have created a project to submit change requests for Jira itself. If they failed to do so I would reach out to IT as often they own Jira or at least are in the loop.

Well, in the real world, that will never happen.

I still think a button to "Find your JIRA Admin" would be a good addition.

We can close this question.

i agree. interestingly Confluence has introduced the ability to find admins. You might wish to click the feedback button and let Atlassian know.
