How to create a workflow where if a ticket is moved from support to Dev, this creates a new ticket?

Hi Team,

 

I want to know about workflow with respect to when one project can trigger a new ticket in another project as part of their task.

Hi Lopaa,

To do this, you will need to use Jira Automation:
Administration -> System -> Automation Rules

Once there:

  1. click "Create Rule"
  2. select "Issue Transitioned"
  3. on the next screen, choose your "From Status" and "To Status" and click "Save"
  4. on the next screen, click "New Action", followed by "Create Issue"
  5. Use the form on the next screen to tell Jira what type of issue, what project, and any fields that need to be set
