With Jira Premium, we can setup a sandbox. (we have Jira Standard Plan and JSM Premium).
The sandbox is a full copy of production, except workflows and some custom images.
We would like to limit the scope of the copy.
While all Issue Data AND Users AND projects are copied to sandbox, we would like to limit scope to projects, data an user-details.
For privacy reasons, issue data and user data shall be opt-out.
Limit scope to single projects would fit to our demand.
This could be also an benefit for Platform performance, because today, we perform an Update to the platform and delete all issues in all projects afterwards.
Or do we miss a dark feature?
Hi @Ingo Wenke ,
You can utilize Cloud to Cloud migration feature for migrating data project by project from your production to sandbox instance.
Currently this feature is in beta stage. Please checkout the documentation here.
Thanks,
Aditya
Hi @Aditya Verma , I haven't yet played with this beta feature. I wonder if it would support Ingo's requirements though. It seems he wants to limit aspects of each project rather than limiting whole projects being migrated over. I will have to play with the feature a bit to see what it's capable of currently. I wonder if there is any roadmap details on this feature as well?

Just a small step further.
Selecting single projects is a plus.

I don't know of any means of limiting the copy as defined here. I suspect the only recourse would be to edit the sandbox once the copy is complete..

Sure, this feature has some more options related to user/group migration.

Thank you for this hint.
It's fixes our issue with project scope an portal customers, but we have to clean up issue data afterwards.
Maybe, this will be available in the future.
