Hi, I have someone who has access to a board but isn't able to delete attachments from various tickets in it unless she attached them. I thought that if someone has access to a board, they're able to delete attachments from any issues? If this isn't the case, how can I provide her access to be able to delete attachments on issues she didn't create?
Hi Michelle,
Thanks for all of the questions today - there is a lot to learn, so stick with it and keep reaching out!
No, permissions for various things that a user can do are based on the Permission Scheme associated with the Project. Specifically there is a Permission for Attachments. There is also a Permission Helper function when you are on the Permission Scheme which is very helpful. You can plug in examples there and see if the user has the correct permission.
Hi John,
Just seeing this here, thank you. Do you know where I find the permission helper function, or permission scheme? I have no clue where these are located in JIRA.

Sure, go to Project Settings and then you should see a link for Permissions. Or go to Project Settings > Summary (what I like to do because you can see many things there at one time) and then you can go to the Permission Scheme from there. Once you are in the Permission Scheme, you can see a button for the Permission Helper in the upper right.
