How to filter the Backlog view for status

Michael UGC Williams August 21, 2023

Hi All,

We use our backlog view most often in sprints. There is no filter for Status in the Backlog view in our Team Managed Software Project. We have the Status filter in the Issues page, but not in the Backlog view. Do I have to write code to make this filter appear, or is there some configuration I can turn on to add that common filter?

Many thanks,

Michael

We have the opposite problem: we can see enough on our backlog view:

This is our workflow:

We see on our backlog only items that are in the "TO DO" status, but not those that are on the "backlog" status. How can we fix this? We have a company-managed project. We recently migrated from JIRA local server to the cloud.

Hi @Michael UGC Williams

There is no built-in feature to do that.  You can add custom filters with JQL for your different status values to do this.

Please look here to learn how to do that: https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/manage-custom-filters-in-team-managed-projects/

Kind regards,
Bill
