I am sure this question has been asked before, but I couldn't find a suitable answer on the board, so please excuse me for asking it again.
I need to limit an issue creation for an issue type (Epic) to a specific group of people. Is there a way to do it in the Standard version of the Cloud JIRA without ScriptRunner or additional plugins? I'd appreciate community's help.
Hey @Gregory Kremer,
I would like to have better news for you, but it is not possible by default without additional apps.
Please think about leaving a vote on the feature request:

Thank you, Max. I suspected as much. Still don't understand why it is so hard for Atlassian to get "Validators" to act on the "create" transition the same way as it does on any other one in a same Workflow. My guess would be to force users/companies into purchasing additional plugins/services.

You are not wrong, Gregory... And I'm happy to help. 😁 And there's more to it as Atlassian also wants to keep a healthy relationship with Marketplace partners. After all, they have invested to solve known problems. But to be honest, you'll need an additional workflow app for more sophisticated requirements after a certain point anyway.
