How to make the system field mandatory.

Hi Team,

I have a requirement from my client that Fix version(System field) should be mandatory.

I know the process of making a custom field mandatory from field configurations but I don't know how to make system field mandatory

Can someone guide me how to achieve this without any code?

System fields can also be controlled from the field configuration, not just custom fields, so you could make fix versions required in the configuration. But if you only need it on specific transitions then the solution that @John Funk is suggesting would be the way to go.

Hi @kanaka prasad ponnuru  - Maybe add it as a required Validator in the workflow on the Create transition?
