We were using QMetry for Test Management on the On-Premise JIRA for our project. Now the project is migrated to JIRA Cloud. We have extensive Test Management Data (Test Cases, Test Runs, Test Case execution evidences / screenshots) in QMetry. We want to migrate all this data to Zephyr on Cloud JIRA. Can you please suggest how this can be achieved?

Shilpa,

QMetry for Jira offers seamless migration from OnPremise Jira instance to Cloud.

Please share your contact details by writing to our Product expert (brijesh.patel@qmetry.com)or the Tech support team (qmetryforjira@qmetrysupport.atlassian.net) and they will help you immediately.

Looking forward.

Regards,

Rupal.

Thanks Rupal for the reply. Would we need QMetry on cloud as well for this to work? Or you are saying we can migrate from QMetry to Zepher? Since we have Zephyr on Cloud and not QMetry.

Hi Shilpa Phadke,

Glad to hear you're looking to migrate :)

What Zephyr app will you be migrating to? Squad our Scale?

We do not have an e an automated tool for QMetry, but you can leverage the API, or use Excel export/import.

Please raise a support ticket with us so we can better assist you.

Hi @Shilpa Phadke

Native tools like Jira Cloud Migration Assistant do not support data migration between third-party tools on Jira. To achieve the migration of Test Management data from ‘QMetry on on-Premise Jira’ to ‘Zephyr on Jira Cloud’, a third-party migration tool should be used. The tool should allow a seamless and rich data migration without impacting business continuity and productivity.

OpsHub, an Atlassian partner, has extensive experience in undertaking complex migration projects, ensuring zero downtime, no data loss, systematic cut-over, and a factory approach, which can be a good choice for your use case. It supports the migration of the entities, Test Case, Test Scenario, Test Run and Test Execution, etc., from Jira QMetry to the entities, Test, Test Cycle, Test Execution, and Folder on Jira Cloud Zephyr.

Please reach out to OpsHub’s Migration Experts for an initial free consultation on migration planning.

Thanks

Brad

Unless there is a prebuilt tool for it that I am unaware of, I would say export from QMetry to Excel and then import again to Zephyr from Excel.

You would need to download and update all screenshots manually, though, which probably will take a lot of time.

If you have a lot of images, then you might want to build a custom script for it instead.
