How to not automatically update Assignee when transitioning a Sub-task or Story

I often find myself in a position of transitioning tasks for developers or analysts as we talk through things in our daily scrum. Unfortunately, when I do this, the task or story I update automatically gets reassigned to me. How can I stop this from happening?
