How to preview Jira attachments (video/image) faster?

Hello all,

I have developed an App that uses an API (POST /rest/api/2/issue/{issueIdOrKey}/attachments) to upload videos and images as Jira issue attachments. However, after I create an issue and open the Jira page, sometimes I have to wait for more than 3 minutes before I can preview the video/image (The image below shows the loading page I can see when I am waiting).

Since my workflow requires me to view the video/image as soon as possible, I am wondering if is there any way to shorten this process.

3 minutes seems excessive. You may be being rate limited if you are testing heavily

This behaviour is due to Atlassian media systems processing files to generate thumbnails/alternative bit rates

There isn't a way to speed this up - we do generate a thumbnail first (although for a video that is the first frame - so may just be a black screen

I'd suggest putting up a 'file is processing' image or similar
