Hello @MANPRITSINGH ,
Actually, the data needed for such a report is available in each issue's history but Jira does not present this as a ready-to-use report. I suggest you use a marketplace app for this.
Our team at OBSS built Timepiece - Time in Status for Jira exactly for this. It is available for Jira Server, Cloud, and Data Center.
Time in Status mainly allows you to see how much time each issue spent on each status or each assignee.
As I said, Time in Status mainly allows you to see how much time each issue spent on each status or each assignee. You can combine the time for multiple statuses to get metrics like Issue Age, Cycle Time, Lead Time, Resolution Time etc.
For all numeric report types, you can calculate averages and sums of those durations grouped by the issue fields you select. For example total in-progress time per customer or average resolution time per sprint, week, month, issuetype, request type, etc. The ability to group by parts of dates (year, month, week, day, hour) or sprints is particularly useful here since it allows you to compare different time periods or see the trend.
The app calculates its reports using already existing Jira issue histories so when you install the app, you don't need to add anything to your issue workflows and you can get reports on your past issues as well. It supports both Company-Managed and Team-Managed projects for Jira Cloud.
Time in Status reports can be accessed through its own reporting page, dashboard gadgets, and issue view screen tabs. All these options can provide both calculated data tables and charts.
Here is the marketplace page for Time in Status by OBSS:

Hi @MANPRITSINGH,
One possible way is to use the WIP Aging chart offered by our Great Gadgets app.
This gadgets displays the issues from a filter or board by their age (time in current status, or time in current board column, etc) and allows you to set a threshold to easily identify the issues that are opened for long time.
Please not that this app offers many other useful gadgets. To make a better idea, have a look over the articles from our blog.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us at support@stonikbyte.com.
I hope this helps.
Danut.

Hi @MANPRITSINGH , I'm not precisely sure what your goal is but assume you want to notify someone when issue are open for longer than some amount of time. Can you confirm this?

Thank you for Responding and Yes, You are right. I want to figure out how long an issue is opened?

Ok in this case I would use automation. You can set up a rule with the basic structure as shown below. Please give this a try and let me know if you run into issues.
note that I have used "-10d" for The condition which translates to an issue that has been created more than 10 days ago and it's still open. You can place any number in there that you wish to represent how many days the issue has been open. If you provide me more complete details for exactly what you're looking for I might be able to assist with the more accurate automation rule.
