How to restrict editing custom field based on certain issue status?

Lokesh Singh Sisodia August 26, 2022

I want custom fields A, B, and C  to be uneditable in the project after certain status to avoid errors in exported data.

Also, I want particular users only to modify the restricted custom field.

How can I do this?

Hi @Lokesh Singh Sisodia and welcome to the community,

You can't restrict specific issue field like that. What you could do is to make these custom fields from the start un editable (remove them from the edit screen) and use a transition screen which will be visible to the specific users to use this screen and edit the values from these custom fields.

Hi,

I found a way through JWME which reverts the changes and provides the warning on editing the custom field.
