How to set restrictions on date custom field inputs?

Hi

We have an issue with two custom date fields: Forecast Start and and Forecast Finish. At the moment, the fields are set up such that users can set Finish dates before Start dates. We are using this form to load data back into another system, which makes this an issue as it can cause errors upon loading the data.

Is it possible to create custom field rules where users are not allowed to provide a Forecast Finish date that is below the Forecast Start date?

Hi Patricia,

yes this is possible but requires using a paid App. I linked the one I used in the past to implement a requirement like yours. Probably you can use different Apps from Marketplace as well - it also depends if you already have one installed in your instance.

In this specific example a validator on a workflow transition was used.

For your example this could mean:

Date Compare (JSU)

• Forecast Finish > Forecast Start
  
• Including time part
