I'm managing our confluence page which has a few public pages in which I want to share the progress our development teams are making on certain epics.
For this I have created some custom JQL query's. Now that I have added those to the public Confluence page I get an error stating that Jira didn't understand my search query:
I understand this is caused because not all people accessing our public Confluence page have access to our Jira environment.
Is there a way to still make this information visible without allowing public access to our Jira environment? I only want the specific JQL output to be shared via this public space. It is displayed as a non-clickable pie-chart so it's not even allowing anyone to go to the Jira by clicking on it.
In the end I just opened the Jira project as well as the confluence page to everyone on the internet. This is not ideal so I will definately keep watching for another solution to this issue but this thread can be closed for now.
Hi @Peter Martens ,
On your Jira project, you should grant the Browse permissions to anonymous users as mentioned in the https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/allow-anonymous-access-to-projects/.
If you are getting jira data from a saved filter into confluence, then you should also share filter view permissions to anonymous users in your jira.

Hi @Rilwan Ahmed
Thank you for your answer.
Unfortunately I don't want to share Browse permissions to anonymous users in my Jira project because this would grant them access to all information in my Jira project right? I only need and want to share some basics information I have gathered via the JQL.
