How to update teams field values?

Can you update the values of the teams field? I've gathered that it is locked, shouldn't be removed and may have a parent it gets values from but I cannot find a way to add values.

The Team values come from Teams created from the Shared Teams list under Plans, and from the Teams created in individual Plans.

If you want to create additional Teams you can use to set the field, use the options above.
