I can't get the dates to upload correctly within my CSV upload. How can I fix this issue?

I continuously get the error messages below even though I have set the date format to match in  the excel sheet before uploading the file. On my JIRA (Look and Feel) page it has the same date format. I am confused as to what I am doing wrong.

Import completed with 5 warnings:

  • Unable to parse date: 21/Apr/16
  • Unable to parse datetime: 01/May/16 0:00 a using the date format pattern: dd/MMM/yy h:mm a
  • Unable to parse date: 29/May/16
  • Unable to parse datetime: 08/Jun/16 0:00 a using the date format pattern: dd/MMM/yy h:mm a

you might want to review this;

https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/11969582

or

https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/23757768.

A number of these problems seems to be solved by this solution;

         "when I use JIRA system config by admin..it worked below.."

                             System Config > External System Import > Import CSV

Hope one of these helps....
