I have a project only with Initiatives and I would like that items to update automatically when child items are moved in their own projects.

some information:

the child epics are in different projects with different IDs.
some projects are different workflows

Yes, it is possible, you just need to set scope to Multiple projects and select all involved projects in the rule details.
