Is it possible to color code field values?

I have fields that contain values like: compliant, not compliant and under evaluation. In order to make this easier to read and understand I would like to have color codes, e.g. green for compliant, read for not compliant and orange for under evaluation. Is there way to obtain this?

This capability does not exist. The one configuration that does allow color presentation are cards on a board. So you could use JQL to color your cards left-edge based upon these custom fields.

In Server and Data Center (not Cloud?), you have to check that the config Enable HTML in custom field descriptions and list item values is enabled. I've not allowed it for years in our instance though, since it makes searching on the values a bit weird.

And colors need to be chosen carefully to work with dark mode and color blind people (me)
