Is the Wiki Style Renderer's behavior customizable?

Hi -

I've got a Jira user would like to suppress the Wiki Style Renderer's automatic conversion of three sequential periods to the Unicode ellipsis character. It happens immediately after pressing "." for the 3rd time in a row (with no intervening characters). Typing Ctrl-z immediately (before adding any other characters) reverts the text to 3 ASCII periods,

This user would like to suppress the conversion altogether.

Possible?

Thanks.

@Jeff Cadow he-him , My simple answer is no. The renderers are system level apps and not editable. Obviously you can apply the render (wiki style) or remove it from the field configuration scheme. But this is an all or nothing approach. Additionally, in this article by Atlassian, they delve deeper in to renderers and options to enable/disable. but there is no mention of being able to customize individual behaviors within the renderer.
