Is there a way to know whether test cases has attachment or not with out going to the test cases

Hi Team,

I would like to know whether we can see a test case has attachment or not without going to the test cases.

Thanks,
Aruna Chandu

Hi @aruna_chandu

are your test cases regular Jira issues, or are you referring to a particular app?

If it's the former, it indeed seems like attachments can't be added as a column to the issue navigator (unless I'm missing something). There's also this issue from Jira's issue tracker: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRASERVER-4737

Just to add to the above: If you're open to solutions from the Atlassian Marketplace, you might want to try JXL for Jira.

JXL is a full-fledged spreadsheet/table view for your issues that allows viewing and (in many cases) inline-editing all your issue fields, including your issues' attachments. You can also sort and filter by your issues' attachments, and view the aggregated attachment size as a seperate column.

This is how it look in action:

It's worth noting that JXL can do much more than that: From bulk editing via copy/paste, to inline issue creation, to support for issue hierarchies, issue grouping, and sum-ups. Disclaimer: I work on JXL :)

Hope this helps,

Best,

Hannes

Thanks Hannes for the reply and suggestion on JXL.

I hope attachment issue should be taken on priority basis.

We have around 3000 test cases and Test evidence plays important role.

After the testing is completed we need to check whether attachment is there or not.

Due to this issue it is taking long time to confirm the test cases.

Thanks,
