Is there any api to get the number of commits of issue in github

Hi,

I need to get the number of commits and number of barnches of the issue in git hub should be displayed on the issue panel through the Connect app with spring boot , Is there any api that gives the API to fetch the number of commits and branches?  can i please get the get any idea that how to achieve this
