I have created a new issue type and when I click on Create the fields in the Issue Type keep unticking themselves, how do I stop this from happening ? As I want some of these fields to show for this issue type ?
Hi @darren.johnson, the "configure fields" users' settings will display the fields based on the last options you have chosen. It displays only fields existing on the create screen on your screen scheme, so you might see that fields come and go based on project and issue type selection. As this is a personal setting, you should work on the create screen/issue type screen scheme to show fields for a particular issue type to all users. The same applies to team-managed projects, given their specific screens setup.
Now, if you're seeing your custom settings not keeping the fields' selections, assuming you've got all fields added to the create screens for the issue types, it might be a bug. If that's the case, you can reach out to Atlassian support to look at your site.

Looks like it is a bug then as that is exactly what is happening. I have all the fields created / selected in the Issue type settings / template. I have asked a JIRA Admin to raise this as a bug.
