Hi,
We have configured boards and we want to start a timeline for a specific board but when I create an epic for that board the epics are created but not visible.
I get the information bubble saying that the epic is created but it is not visible because it does not match the query of my board.
This is the query for my board:
project = WEB AND parent in (WEB-8907, WEB-8908, WEB-8911, WEB-1331, WEB-8912, WEB-8913) ORDER BY Rank ASC
I've already experimented with removing the parents and only filtering on the project and then I see all my epics and correspondig tickets. How can I do the same but then with the extra epic filter?
Hi @Jurgen Van de Water ,
It seems like the issue might be related to your board's filter criteria not including the newly created epics due to the way your Jira board filter is set up.
To include the epics on your board, you'll need to modify your board's filter to explicitly include the epics or adjust the query to encompass the epics related to your project.
Try Following JQL for filter:-
(project = WEB AND parent in (WEB-8907, WEB-8908, WEB-8911, WEB-1331, WEB-8912, WEB-8913)) OR (project = WEB AND issuetype = Epic)
This query retrieves issues that either match the specified parent issues or are of type "Epic" within the "WEB" project.
Also, if you feel my input help you please accept the answer.
Regards,
Bhushan
Oh I was thinking that setting the project was enough to include all the epics. Thanks for helping out.

Absolutely! sometimes the filters on the board need a bit more tweaking to include all the epics.
