Issues created in a sprint going straight to backlog: known bug?

David Gerrard January 6, 2023

At the bottom of a sprint there is the ability to Create an Issue within that sprint.  When I fill out a title and type enter:  the issue gets created, but at the bottom of the backlog, not within the correct sprint.  Am I doing something wrong, or is this a bug?  Thank you!

No, you're not doing anything wrong, and there is no bug, just a poor design choice.

Create issue should not create issues in a sprint, they should be added to the backlog (as it does).  The placement of the create issue link you are using is, in my opinion, quite poor because it suggests that you can create in a sprint.

Hmm, interesting.

If that is the case: why does the prompt say "New task in SPRINTNAME"?  Surely if it says it's creating a new task in this sprint, it should create in this sprint?
